INDUCTED 2005 - RANDY ALBERTSON 
 
 
Formerly a pistol shooter, Randy Albertson first fired at ATA targets in 1987.

Randy won 14 Grand American trophies from 1994 to 1997. The former year he captured the veteran titles in the High-Over-All and the Zone Champion of Champions competition in the Clay Target event. The following year he claimed top senior vet honors in the Dayton Homecoming, Doubles Championship and All-Around. He totaled four additional 70 and over crowns in '96 and '97.

Randy's numerous Spring Grand awards included veteran singles crowns in 1991 and 1993, plus fourth place in the 1992 Handicap Championship. He also won nine Western Grand trophies.

In Western Zone competition, Randy captured three veteran and four senior veteran titles.

His first major California State trophy was in 1991 Veteran singles Championship for 198. Between 1993 and 1998, Randy earned four more age-group 16 yard titles, and he was event champion in the 1997 singles with 200 plus 75 extras.

He netted trophies while competing at the Golden West Grand and the Nevada State Shoot, and he also collected numerous awards at skeet, PITA and California Indians competitions.

Starting in 1992, Randy was named to seven consecutive All-American teams - four veteran and three senior vet- and was the captain of the '95 veteran squad. During his ATA career he registered more than 38,000 singles, 46,000 handicap and 22,000 doubles.

Randy Albertson was inducted in to the California Trapshooting Hall of Fame in 2005.
