INDUCTED 1985 - DAVID FRANK 
 
 
Dave Frank, who in 1947 was elected as the first president of the CGSTA, was inducted into the California Hall of Fame this year. He served the association as secretary - treasurer and director for 20 years and was ATA delegate from 1946 to 1948.

Dave's first California ATA title was the 1958 doubles crown, and his second was as Veteran Singles Champion in 1978. In 1977 he led the veterans in the doubles championship, and he was a member of the California state championship team in 1961.

In Grand American competition, Dave and his wife Lela won the Husband and Wife race in 1957, and Dave led vets in the Doubles Championship and All-Around in 1977. In 1983 he paced vets in the preliminary singles race, and 1984 he smacked 100 straight for the vet award in the Kay Ohye Singles.

Dave was selected to the All American team in 1957, and he earned a place on the veteran team each year from 1977 through 1982.

Among Dave's other accomplishments are his victories in the 1955 Golden West Flyer Championship and in the 1958 Pachmayr Handicap Championship, where he broke 99 from 26 yards.

David Frank was inducted in to the California Trapshooting Hall of Fame in 1985.
