Terry Bilbey began trapshooting in 1972. He reached the 27 yard line on June 26, 1974. On May 14, 1977, he became the 1st person in ATA history to break perfect scores in singles, handicap and doubles on the same day. On Aug 5, 1978, he became the 20th person in ATA history to obtain his Grand Slam.

Prior to the time of his induction into the California Hall of Fame:

Terry had registered 69,300 singles targets, 117,100 handicap targets and 50,900 doubles targets, with a lifetime All Around average of 95%.

He was a member of the California Men's State Team in 1976-1981, 1983, 1987-1989 and 1997.

Since 1975, Terry has shot off, tied or won a trophy 4 times in the State Handicap Championship, including tying for the Championship in 1978 with the score of 98. He has shot off, tied or won in the Doubles Championship 5 times. In 1985 he tied for the State Doubles Championship with a score of 100.

In 1985, he was pre-state shoot Handicap Champion breaking 100 straight and 1989 Champion in the Vice President's Handicap with 100. Also in 1985, he was Champion in the 2nd VP Handicap with a score of 99.

He was HOA Life Member 3 years and in 1978 won with 874/900. Terry has won 4 State HOA trophies including Champion in 1989. He was HAA State Champion in 1978 scoring 394/400.

Other Major Shoots

Terry was Handicap Champion in 1982 at the Phoenix Winter Chain, The Martinez Golden State Grand, The Mint Fall Handicap and was Out of State Doubles Champion at the 1982 Utah State Shoot. In 1983 at the Spring Grand, he tied for the Doubles Championship with a score of 98, winning AA/RU. IN 1985 he tied for the Singles Championship at Bob Taylor's 100 Grand and ended 4th in the Illinois Handicap. In 1986, Terry earned 5th place in the Spring Grand Handicap Championship with a score of 97.

In 1996 at the Reno Pigeon Shoot, Terry became the 1st person to down 30/30 Pigeons with a 28 gauge shotgun. In Argentina at the 1984 World Pigeon Championships, Terry tied for 2nd place, out of 1600 shooters with 24/25.

Terry was a California State Director 1977-1978.

At the time of his induction, Terry had earned 341 yards, with 335 being from the 27 yard line.
